Mr. Borgniet brings to the table his twenty-five years of broad industry experience and knowledge garnered while working and evolving in roles within all aspects and phases of manufacturing during his years at Pfizer/ Zoetis and SmithKline Beecham.

Univercells SA, a technology company dedicated to delivering innovative and cost-effective biomanufacturing solutions, today formally announces the appointment of Christian Borgniet as its new Chief Operating Officer.

A well-versed biopharmaceutical veteran, Christian Borgniet joins Univercells to support strategy implementation and operations planning, reinforcing long-term company objectives and development of its technological solutions.

As COO, Christian will be leading the operations in its Gosselies and Nivelles facilities, overseeing operational activities, leading its teams to assure the proper management and delivery of development projects.

Mr. Borniet has already successfully managed several industrial projects, including the opening of Pfizer Animal Health’s first R&D pilot plant for vaccines, and the US FDA certification of Zoetis’ first site for the manufacture and supply of veterinary vaccines.

As Site Leader and Managing Director at Pfizer/Zoetis, he oversaw the establishment of a GMP plant under a 22M€ investment, for a first-in-kind entirely disposable BSL3 plant for antigens.

These significant achievements set Borgniet on a trajectory to drive the operational development of Univercells’ manufacturing platform for the cost-effective production of vaccines and antibodies.
